Preparations are in full swing for the inaugural edition of the Assam Premier League (APL), the State’s first franchise-based T20 cricket tournament on the lines of the Indian Premier League (IPL). Among the participating franchises, Dibrugarh Warriors have intensified their preparations with a series of exciting announcements aimed at building strong fan engagement and promoting cricket across Assam.
The franchise has officially announced celebrated Assamese singer Nil Akash as its Brand Ambassador, adding cultural pride and youth appeal to the team. Alongside this announcement, the official team anthem of Dibrugarh Warriors was also unveiled. The anthem is expected to energize cricket enthusiasts, inspire supporters across the State, and create an electrifying atmosphere in the stadiums throughout the tournament.
The anthem launch was graced by Shri Bhaskar Papukan Gogoi, Vice-President and Franchise Advisor of the Dibrugarh District Sports Association, who appreciated the initiative and extended his best wishes to the team for the upcoming league.
To ensure a strong campaign in the inaugural season, Dibrugarh Warriors have also announced an experienced coaching and support staff. Former Assam cricketer Dhiraj Goswami has been appointed as Head Coach, while Nilesh Sharma will serve as Assistant Coach. Former first-class cricketer Sujay Tarafdar has been entrusted with the responsibility of Bowling Coach, and Bhargav Sharma has been appointed as the Strength and Conditioning Coach. Several experienced professionals have also joined the franchise as support staff and associate officials.
Speaking on the occasion, the franchise management stated:

The management further added:

By associating popular youth icon Nil Akash as our Brand Ambassador, launching our official anthem, and assembling a highly experienced coaching team, we have laid a strong foundation for the franchise. We are committed to playing competitive and entertaining cricket while making the people of Assam proud.”
