Researchers from the University of Tartu Explore the Mysterious Sacred Village of Rongbin Chappong, 9th February 2025 – On 8th February 2025, a team of researchers from the University of Tartu, Estonia, led by Dr. Margaret Lyngdoh, along with national awardee Mrs. Sabina Teronpi and her team, embarked on an expedition to the sacred village of Rongbin, an “invisible village” believed to be located in the mountains of Chappong and Angjok. During their journey, the team paid homage at the sacred stone altar, an important spiritual site, before continuing their exploration. Their objective is to look into the narratives and folklore surrounding Rongbin, a place shrouded in mystery and believed to be located in Chappong.
