BJP wins all 10 seats in Chhattisgarh mayoral polls.

The BJP won all 10 mayoral posts in Chhattisgarh’s civic polls. Voter turnout was 72.19%, with Koriya and Gariaband districts having the highest at 84.97% and 84.65%. Bilaspur and Raipur had the lowest with 51.37% and 52.75% respectively.

Results were announced after counting votes in 173 urban bodies, comprising 10 Municipal Corporations, 49 Councils, and 114 Nagar Panchayats. 44.74 lakh voters, with 22.52 lakh men and 22.73 lakh women, voted at 597 polling stations. Chhattisgarh CM Vishnu Deo Sai expressed gratitude to the voters for their support.

Chief Minister Sai hailed BJP’s historic victory in the Chhattisgarh Civic Polls, emphasizing the party’s triumph by securing all 10 seats with substantial margins. The Congress was completely shut out, failing to win a single seat. He extended gratitude to the voters for their trust in BJP and PM Modi.

BJP chief JP Nadda lauded the state leadership for the landslide win, attributing it to public trust in PM Narendra Modi’s welfare schemes. This victory reflects the people’s unwavering faith in welfare and tribal-friendly initiatives. Urban local body elections were held on February 11, with results out on February 15 by the Election Commission.
