PM Modi will join 'Bharat Tex 2025' to enhance the textiles sector.

India has emerged as a sought-after textile sourcing hub for global firms. PM Modi is set to speak at the ‘Bharat Tex 2025’ conference in Delhi on Sunday at 4 p.m. The event, held from Feb 14-17, unites the entire textile value chain, spanning raw materials to final products, all in one place. ‘Bharat Tex’ is the industry’s largest expo, showcasing the full textile ecosystem across two venues.

India, the sixth-largest textiles and apparel exporter, shipped $34 billion worth in 2023 and employed over 45 million people.

The event will host a global conference with 70+ sessions, roundtables, panel discussions, and master classes, along with exhibitions, a hackathon-based ‘Startup Pitch Fest,’ and tech challenges for startups to secure funding from top investors.

‘Bharat Tex 2025’ is anticipated to draw policymakers, global CEOs, 5,000 exhibitors, 6,000 international buyers, and visitors from 120+ countries. Union Minister Giriraj Singh notes that the event highlights global value chains and textile sustainability.

This year’s event focuses on resilient global value chains and textile sustainability, featuring a diverse range of activities like trade fairs, conferences, seminars, and B2B meetings. Additional exhibitions for accessories, garment machinery, dyes, chemicals, and handicrafts are running until February 15 at the India Expo Centre and Mart in Greater Noida.
