Hydrocarbon industry players are invited to the 'Advantage Assam' summit on Feb 25.

During a special session at the India Energy Week-2025, industry players in hydrocarbon and allied sectors were invited to the upcoming investor summit—Advantage Assam 2.0. The event was held at Yashobhoomi in Delhi’s Dwarka area. Bikul Ch. Deka, Chairman of Assam Petro-Chemicals Ltd., on behalf of ‘Team Assam’, highlighted Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma’s call to investors in these sectors to join the Advantage Assam 2.0 Summit on February 25-26, 2025 in Guwahati, and explore investment opportunities in Assam.

Around 150 participants, including investors, business leaders, and media personnel from across the globe, attended the Special Session on Assam where speakers highlighted investment opportunities in petrochemical, exploration/drilling/gas extraction, refinery auxiliaries, gas processing, northeast gas grid sectors, and gas cracker industry. With Advantage Assam 2.0 in Guwahati soon, the Assam government aims to position the state as a top investment destination in energy and infrastructure.

The event provides a vital platform for investors to engage with industry and government leaders, fostering economic growth in Assam. Sachiv Kumar, ADG of the Directorate of Hydrocarbon, and other officials from the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas were present. Notable attendees included Bikul Ch. Deka, Chairman of Assam Petro Chemicals Ltd., Bhaskar Jyoti Phukan, MD of Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL), and Pranjal Changmai, MD of Brahmaputra Cracker and Polymer Limited (BCPL).
