India aims for a $30 trillion economy by 2047 with Center-state teamwork.

Union Minister Piyush Goyal highlighted the importance of state progress for national advancement, expressing optimism about India becoming a $30 trillion economy by 2047 through collaborative efforts between Central and state governments. At the Global Investors’ Meet, Goyal pledged full Central government support to Karnataka’s growth initiatives.

Last year, Rs 11 lakh crore was allocated for infrastructure. A Plug and Play Industrial Smart City is developed in Tumakuru over 8,000 acres, with the first phase covering 1,736 acres due by end of 2026. India is highlighted as a top global investment spot due to democracy, demand, population, digitisation, and diversity. Goyal announced plans for 75 new airports, air connectivity to 120 cities through UDAN-2, 114 waterways, ports doubling, and 50 tourism destinations benefiting Karnataka.

India’s exports have hit $800 billion, with Karnataka’s pivotal role noted. The central government allocated Rs 20,000 crore for innovation, Rs 74,000 crore for the Semiconductor Mission, and Rs 2 lakh crore for PLI-based industrial incentives. Goyal is optimistic about Karnataka leading in deep-tech, fintech, and future industries. At the Global Investors’ Summit, he honored 15 businesses with ‘Invest Karnataka’ Awards for their economic contributions. Goyal also unveiled ‘Karnataka Success Stories’, showcasing the state’s industrial achievements.

Deputy Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar announced a Rs 1 lakh crore investment to address Bengaluru’s traffic congestion, including flyovers, bridges, dual roads, and new highways. Minister M.B. Patil praised Karnataka’s industry-friendly policies as a model for others and its progress in sustainable industrial development. The event was attended by Ministers K.J. George, Dr. Sharanprakash Patil, Priyank Kharge, Dinesh Gundu Rao, N.S. Boseraju, KEONICS Chairman Sharath Bachchegowda, and entrepreneur Nikhil Kamath. The late Vikram Kirloskar was posthumously honored with the ‘Industrial Legacy’ Award, accepted by Geetanjali Kirloskar.
