He sought NITI Aayog’s active collaboration in providing technological assistance and implementing new policies.
The Chief Minister informed Bery about the target to achieve a $2.4 trillion economy by 2047 through a 15% yearly growth rate, aiming for an average $42,000 per capita income. He expressed confidence in Andhra Pradesh’s potential to excel with NITI Aayog’s support, envisioning it as a model state in Viksit Bharat-2047. Bery agreed that the current time presents a favorable opportunity for both the Centre and the state, emphasizing NITI Aayog’s commitment to facilitating development.
The Chief Minister aims to focus on Swarnandhra-2047, emphasizing economic progress, skill development, industry establishment, and stability. He expressed to the NITI Ayog Vice-Chairman his vision to position the state as a global leader in human resource development and governance. Despite ambitions, challenges persist due to unresolved financial issues post-bifurcation and the loss of revenue from Hyderabad.
Naidu highlighted that the previous government overlooked capital expenditure and basic amenities for five years. Nonetheless, efforts are ongoing to bolster the state using available advantages and addressing challenges. The state’s strengths include the expansive sea coast, strong road, port, and rail connections, three industrial corridors, and its strategic position as a gateway to East-South-East Asia. Additionally, it is attracting investments in renewable energy and data technology, as shared with Suman Bery by the Chief Minister.
Naidu asked for NITI Aayog’s help in developing Visakhapatnam as a key economic region, part of the country’s growth hubs like Amravati and Tirupati. He urged collaboration between the state government and NITI Aayog to enhance industrial corridors, skill hubs, smart cities, and basic facilities.
