Guwahati, Jan. 13: Shri Himanta Biswa Sarma, the chief minister of Assam, has announced that the state will soon host an airplane dismantle plant. Highlighting ongoing conversations with a Corporation to keen shown interest in setting up the facility was part of Monday’s felicitation program for Pandu’s meritorious students.
“I’ve recently been working with a consortium that wants to build a Boeing factory. They have promised to establish a plant in Assam where decommissioned Boeing airplanes from all over the world will be transported, disassembled, and processed if we supply the required land,” Sarma said.
Although the project is still in the proposal stage, the Chief Minister pointed out that the offer by itself highlights Assam’s increasing potential as a location for significant industrial initiatives. “Whether or not this materialises, I wanted to share this with you to highlight that Assam is stepping into a new era,” he stated.
Shri Sarma took the opportunity to urge students to empower themselves with the knowledge and abilities necessary to prosper in the quickly changing industrial environment. “The youth of Assam must also get ready to be a part of the semiconductor age, which is rapidly approaching. After years of unrest, carnage, and violence, Assam has recovered. Assam is expanding quickly these days to provide new prospects. “Young people need to step up and get ready for the new era,” he stated.
The Chief Minister emphasized the significance of cutting-edge technologies associated with Industry 4.0, including quantum physics, augmented reality, and machine learning. “These fields will be at the forefront of the next revolution. Employment will revolve around them over the next ten years,” he continued.
