Debutant spinner Zeeshan Ansari took 3/42 as the sole wicket-taker for Sunrisers Hyderabad against Delhi Capitals in IPL 2025. Despite his efforts, DC easily reached their 164-run target, winning by 7 wickets in just 16 overs, as SRH bowlers couldn’t challenge effectively.
Ansari ended the 81-run partnership between Fraser-McGurk and du Plessis, dismissing du Plessis in the 10th over with a catch at deep mid-wicket. Next, he got Fraser-McGurk out by catching the ball chipped back to him. Rahul, making his DC debut, was bowled by Ansari after missing a sweep shot.
Ansari made his IPL debut for SRH, conceding at 10.50 runs an over and averaging 14 after this match. This was just his 2nd T20 game; his first was for UP against Uttarakhand in 2019 SMAT.
