Kane Williamson, debuting in IPL 2015, ranks fourth with 1,096 runs in 30 innings. Notably, he won the Orange Cap in 2018 for scoring 735 runs for Sunrisers Hyderabad. In 79 games, he totaled 2,128 runs with 35.46 average and 125.61 strike rate, having 18 fifties. However, he remained unsold in the 2025 mega-auction.
Chris Gayle is arguably the most destructive batter in the 20-over format and has played for Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bengaluru in the IPL. He scored 1,141 runs in 30 innings at an average of 43.88, winning the Orange Cap in 2011 and 2012. In total, he scored 4,965 runs from 142 IPL matches at an average of 39.72 with 6 centuries and 31 fifties.
Sudharsan, now second on the list, is a left-handed batter who debuted in the IPL in 2022. In IPL 2025’s five matches, he has scored 273 runs with an impressive average of 54.60.
Australian batter Shaun Marsh topped the list with 1,338 runs in 30 IPL innings at 53.52. In his debut season, he was the highest run-scorer, making 616 runs in 11 matches for Kings XI Punjab. Marsh ended his IPL career with 2,477 runs from 71 games at an average of 39.95, with 20 half-centuries and 1 century.
