Actress Vidya Balan, who recently appeared in ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’, has become the latest film industry actor impacted by the dangerous use of Artificial Intelligence (AI). Through an Instagram video, she alerted her followers about the video’s lack of authenticity and emphasized the need to question content validity amid the rising prevalence of deep fakes.
In a detailed caption, she urged her followers to beware of false content online, emphasizing the importance of verifying information. Clarifying that AI-generated videos circulating on social media and WhatsApp were not created or endorsed by her, she distanced herself from their content, emphasizing that any claims within these videos were not representative of her beliefs or work.
Before sharing, verify information to prevent spreading falsehoods and be cautious of false AI-generated content. Vidya recently honored M. S. Subbulakshmi on her 108th birth anniversary by sharing nostalgic photos on Instagram of herself dressed as the late musician in a heartfelt tribute.
Vidya collaborated with costume designer Anu Parthasarathy to recreate iconic looks of the late musician for a tribute. The photographic feature showcases four sarees worn and popularized by M.S.Amma between the 60s & 80s, reflecting her concert persona.
