Uber partners with Mumbai Indians to provide free shuttle rides for fans attending IPL home matches at Wankhede Stadium in Churchgate. This program, beginning Monday, aims to improve match-day transportation, ease traffic congestion near the stadium and within the city. 10 Uber shuttle buses will operate between Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC) and Wankhede on game days.
The shuttle service saves fans from traffic, parking issues, and last-minute bookings by covering return routes in Bandra, Worli, and BKC. Uber introduces match-day promo codes for discounted rides to and from the stadium, encouraging shared mobility among fans.
Snehashish Nag, Head of Strategy at Uber Shuttle, emphasized the service’s reliability, stating that it brings Uber’s trustworthiness to buses. As Mumbai Indians’ mobility partner, this service provides fans a convenient travel option that helps reduce traffic. Fans can book free Uber Shuttle rides for Wankhede Stadium within the Uber app.
Fans can select a time slot and confirm their booking after choosing the Shuttle icon. Pre-match shuttles run from MMRDA Ground Parking to Wankhede Stadium. Return services post-match go from parking near Cooperage Bandstand to Haji Ali, Phoenix Palladium, and BKC. Limited seats allocated on a first-come-first-served basis.
