US President Donald Trump proposed a plan for the West Asia crisis, suggesting the US take over the Gaza Strip and relocate Palestinians to shelters in Egypt and Jordan, aiming to address the long-standing conflict. Trump, during a news conference with Israeli PM Benjamin Netanyahu, expressed his belief in the need to change the tragic situation in Gaza, which he described as a place of suffering and misfortune for its inhabitants and neighboring areas.
The president emphasized the need to show humanitarian compassion by assisting other countries, particularly to aid the 1.8 million Palestinians in Gaza. These efforts, along with financial support from wealthy neighboring nations, aim to end the suffering and provide a better future. The US plans to oversee the reconstruction of the Gaza Strip, ensuring safety by clearing hazards and promoting economic growth to generate jobs and housing opportunities for the local population.
The American president emphasized the need for change, stating, “Do a real job, do something different. Just can’t go back. If you go back, it’s going to end up the same way it has for 100 years.”
“I’m hopeful that this cease-fire could lead to lasting peace, ending bloodshed. My administration is swiftly restoring trust in the alliance and strengthening American presence in the region. We’ve made significant progress, becoming a respected nation. Recently, I lifted the arms embargo for Israel and withdrew from the UN Human Rights Council due to antisemitism. The UN Relief and Works Agency support was also terminated, stopping funds to Hamas and showing loyalty to humanity,” stated Trump.
“Today, I reinstated strict sanctions on Iran, aiming to reduce their funding for terrorism globally by driving oil exports to zero and limiting their ability to support regional and global terrorism.”
