To apply for a PAN, gather the required documents.

Applying for a PAN in India can be complicated due to document requirements. This article simplifies the process by specifying necessary documents for different applicant types – individual, company, or foreign entity. Prepare these documents for your PAN application.

Applicants need identity and address proof for a PAN card. Identity proofs can be Aadhaar, voter ID, passport, or driving license. Address proof like utility bills or bank statements not older than three months can be used. Also, submit two recent passport-sized photos.

Companies must submit their registration certificate from the Registrar of Companies as proof of identity and address, along with details of their authorized signatory on company letterhead. These documents must be certified by an authorized official.

Foreign entities applying for a PAN must provide their registration certificate from the country of incorporation and an attested copy of their tax ID or equivalent. These documents should be authenticated by the Indian embassy/consulate in that country.

When minors apply for a PAN card through parents or guardians, additional documents are required. These include the minor’s birth certificate for age verification, along with the guardian’s proof of identity and address. Additionally, two recent passport-sized photos of the minor must be submitted.
