Ford introduced a new FX package for the classic Mustang, incorporating design cues from previous models. The special edition showcases white wheels, retro fonts, and plaid seats, inspired by ’80s and ’90s styles. This move is part of Ford’s efforts to maintain the Mustang’s popularity in car culture over decades.
The 2026 Mustang FX package reimagines the ’80s and ’90s Fox body with a modern twist, offering bright white wheel options reminiscent of the original models. While the standard 19-inch wheels of today’s Mustangs provide a larger and updated look compared to the originals.
The FX package includes a standard five-spoke wheel design, while the Performance package offers more intricate wheels. With the Performance package, the Mustang’s grille elements are changed from gray to white. Inside FX cars, City Silver and Adriatic Blue contrast stitching and a “Mustang GT” badge inspired by the Fox-body style are featured.
The FX Mustangs’ interior showcases plaid seat inserts reminiscent of classic Foxes, complemented by perforated leather seats offering both regular and optional Recaro buckets for coupes. White accents on rear taillights, wheel center caps, and emblems enhance the exterior.
The FX package for the coupe or convertible’s GT Premium trim requires the 480hp+ 5.0-liter V8 engine. Customers can opt for the 6-speed manual or 10-speed automatic. The manual hardtop GT Premium starts at $53,075 (₹45 lakh), and the droptop at $58,575 (₹50 lakh).
