Guwahati 20 February 2026: A Key consultative meeting on Strengthening Child Protection was held at National Law University (NLUJ), Amingaon, Guwahati.
The event, aligned with the Government of India’s Mission Vatsalya, brought together over 16 civil society organisations (CSOs) to prioritize child protection and safety.
NLUJ Vice-Chancellor K. V. S. Sarma emphasized the importance of collective action among government, academia, and CSOs to safeguard children’s well-being. The meeting fostered a shared commitment to child safety across diverse geographies.
Hosted by the British Asian India Foundation and Northeast Centre for Equity Action on Integrated Development (NEAID) as part of the KAWACH Programme, the event marked a significant step towards collaborative measures for a safer environment for children. The stakeholders aim to pool their expertise to achieve large-scale goals for a safer future.
