Sharon Stone discloses career choice affecting infamous 'Basic Instinct' dress during interrogation scene.

Sharon Stone’s iconic white mini-dress from ‘Basic Instinct’ stirred attention recently as she discussed why she still holds onto it, shedding light on its personal importance over three decades since the film’s release, as per reports from ‘Deadline’.

The actress was embarrassed when the studio sold her wardrobe from a TV film in the 1980s at a discount, including her underwear. After that incident, she made sure her contracts stipulated that she could keep all her film clothes. Thanks to this decision, she was able to keep the iconic outfit from her role as Catherine Tramell in the 1992 film ‘Basic Instinct,’ a success, as reported by ‘Deadline.’

The actress also keeps various souvenirs from the film ‘Basic Instinct’, such as the white minidress in a safe and a collection of shoes like black split-toe Gucci heels and gold-studded ones in her closet, with the remaining costumes stored away.

Before her first red carpet appearance at the Oscars with her husband in 1998, the actress chose to wear a simple white shirt with Phil Bronstein’s initials as a tribute to him, marking the start of their marriage. She explained that it was a way to integrate him into her world, considering his career as a newspaper editor.
