Saturn, Venus, and Neptune will form a planetary triangle tomorrow.

Tomorrow, a celestial event will occur as Saturn, Venus, and Neptune align in a triangular formation before dawn. Neptune’s visibility is challenging due to its faintness compared to other celestial bodies, making the arrangement visible here under specific conditions.

Saturn and Venus, challenging to observe from New Delhi, will be visible in the dawn sky, rising at 03:48am (IST)  — about two hours before sunrise — reaching a height of 15 degrees above the eastern horizon before fading as dawn breaks around 5:05am per in-the-sky.org.

The best time to view this celestial event is an hour before sunrise on April 28, requiring observers to have a clear view of the eastern horizon. Venus, the bright morning star with a magnitude of -4.42, will appear near the horizon, with Saturn slightly dimmer at magnitude 1.0 positioned a few degrees to the left of Venus.

Neptune, unlike Venus and Saturn, isn’t visible to the naked eye but can be seen with binoculars or a telescope. It will look like a small bluish-green dot below and slightly left of Venus. To observe safely, avoid pointing optics at the Sun or viewing directly with the naked eye.

Mercury, along with Saturn, Venus, and Neptune, will be seen in the pre-dawn sky near the eastern horizon. However, its visibility will be brief as it will soon be hidden by the rising sun.
