Director Kandhari shared that the film was inspired by the initial morning in an arranged marriage, wondering how the wife navigates this unfamiliar situation without a manual when the husband leaves for work. He credited Buster Keaton for influencing his filmmaking style, appreciating Keaton’s use of subtle facial expressions and body language.
