Producer Yalamanchili Ravi Shankar confirmed in a video interview that ‘Pushpa 3’, part of the popular franchise directed by Sukumar and starring Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna, is set to release in 2028, as revealed by the Mythri Movie Makers production house.
Ravi Shankar confirmed ‘Pushpa 3’ is in the works. Currently, Allu Arjun is occupied with Atlee’s film, followed by a movie with Trivikram before ‘Pushpa 3.’ This schedule will span the next two years. Additionally, he detailed director Sukumar’s upcoming projects. Sukumar will collaborate with Ram Charan initially and then shift focus to ‘Pushpa 3.’ The work on ‘Pushpa 3′ is expected to commence in about two and a half years leading to an estimated release date in 2028.
Pushpa 2, directed by Sukumar and starring Allu Arjun, recently completed a successful 100-day run in cinemas. The film, titled Pushpa 2: The Rule, dominated 2024 by setting unprecedented success benchmarks. It captured audiences’ hearts, shattered box office records, and established a significant presence. Not only did it pioneer the over ₹800 Crore club in Hindi, but it also surpassed the ₹1800 Crore milestone globally, solidifying its position as India’s top-grossing film.
The film follows Pushpa Raj, a man who, after facing immense loss, resolves not to surrender anything more. It depicts his journey to becoming the leader of an illicit red sandalwood trading syndicate, showcasing his rise to power.
The film has three parts produced by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar writings, with music by T Series. The second part released on December 5, 2024, and the third part will premiere in 2028.
