Raina scored 4,687 runs in 176 matches at an average of 32.32 for CSK, with one century and 33 fifties. Dhoni surpassed Raina in his 236th match. They are the only players with over 3,000 IPL runs for CSK, with Faf du Plessis following with 2,721 runs.
Dhoni batted at number 9 for CSK against RCB, taking time to get going before finishing with an unbeaten 30 from 16 balls, including three fours and two sixes.
Dhoni has scored 4,699 runs for CSK in the IPL at 40.50 and owns a total of 5,273 runs at 39.35 in the league. He has 22 fifties, 333 fours, and 224 sixes, along with 254 maximums and 366 fours. Additionally, he has 24 half-centuries with a strike rate of 139.43.
RCB defeated CSK in the 8th match of IPL 2025, marking their first win at this venue since 2008. RCB scored 196/7 in 20 overs, while CSK managed 146/8 in their allotted 20 overs.
