Diphu, March 19, 2025: The prestigious 13th Rangsina Sarpo Films & Folk Artist Award 2025 witnessed a moment of pride as Sabina Teronpi bagged two major awards, celebrating her contributions to Karbi cinema and storytelling.
Teronpi won the Best Costume Designer Award for her work in Parlin Parlo, showcasing her exceptional talent in traditional and cinematic costume design. Additionally, her documentary Thireng Vangreng Ajutang earned the Best Documentary Film Award, reflecting her dedication to preserving and narrating indigenous stories through cinema.
The award ceremony was held at Langkung Habe Memorial Town Hall, Diphu, and was organized by The Karbi Film Society. The event recognized outstanding contributions to Karbi films and folk art, honouring filmmakers, artists, and cultural custodians.
