Modern English School Celebrates Pre-Bohag Bihu with Vibrant Festivities

Guwahati, April 13, 2026: The spirit of Rongali Bihu resonated across the campus of Modern English School, Kahilipara, as it hosted a vibrant Pre-Bohag Bihu celebration on April 13, 2026.

The event served as a colourful showcase of Assamese culture and traditions, featuring energetic group Bihu dances, melodious group and solo renditions of traditional Bihu songs by students, along with inspiring addresses delivered by the School Director, the Principal, and students. The performances exemplified not only artistic excellence but also a deep-rooted connection with Assam’s rich cultural heritage.

Adding significance to the occasion, Mrs. Jonali Das, Principal of Modern English School, remarked, “Bohag Bihu is not merely a festival; it is an emotion that connects us to our roots. Through such celebrations, we endeavour to instil in our students a sense of pride in their cultural heritage while fostering respect for diversity and unity within the school community.”
