MG's most affordable car in India receives limited 'Blackstorm' edition.

MG Motor introduced the all-black Comet EV Blackstorm edition in India, expanding its EV lineup. Priced at ₹7.8 lakh (ex-showroom), this new model is derived from the top-end Exclusive variant. It features a striking Starry Black exterior with red accents on alloy wheels, front bumper, and ‘Morris Garages’ branding on the hood.

The Comet EV Blackstorm edition showcases a sleek all-black exterior accented by red highlights on the skid plate and side cladding, including black steel wheels with a striking red star design. An iconic ‘Blackstorm’ badge stands out on the fender. The interior boasts all-black seat upholstery with red stitching and ‘Blackstorm’ badges on the front headrests.

The MG Comet EV Blackstorm edition shares the same features as the regular model, including a 10.25-inch touchscreen, driver’s display, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, manual AC, safety features such as two airbags, ABS, EBD, ESC, hill-hold assist, TPMS, and a rear parking camera with sensors.

The MG Comet EV Blackstorm features a 17.3kWh battery pack paired with a rear-wheel-drive electric motor, delivering 42hp and 110Nm of torque. It can cover up to 230km on a single charge, suitable for daily commutes.

The MG Comet EV Blackstorm edition is available for booking with a token amount of ₹11,000. Customers can opt for battery subscription plans ranging from ₹5 lakh to ₹7.8 lakh, with an additional cost of ₹2.5 per kilometer. This model offers a cost-effective option in India’s expanding electric vehicle market, competing with models like the Tata Tiago EV and Citroen eC3.
