Maha Kumbh 2025 anticipates a record-breaking 60 crore devotees by Shivratri.

The Maha Kumbh 2025 in Prayagraj is on track to break attendance records with an estimated 60 crore devotees by February 26. Over 55 crore pilgrims have already taken a holy dip at the Triveni Sangam, surpassing early estimates by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.

The current turnout at Maha Kumbh, with devotees exceeding CM Adityanath’s estimate, represents nearly half of India’s “Sanatan” followers. By February 11, the original 45 crore prediction was surpassed, reaching over 50 crore attendees. On the peak day of “Mauni Amavasya,” almost eight crore devotees participated in the holy dip.

The Maha Kumbh is not only a significant religious event but also provides a major economic boost to Uttar Pradesh, with CM Adityanath projecting a ₹3 lakh crore contribution to the state’s economy. He credited PM Narendra Modi’s leadership for uplifting eight crore people out of poverty in the state and setting India on track for a five trillion dollar economy by 2027.
