A one-day awareness seminar for Anganbari workers in the Bhaktagaon, Ranga Garhaj, Borbheti, and Radanga Charcoal areas was organized yesterday under the auspices of the Khagarijan Child Development Project of Nagaon district. The purpose of the seminar was to raise employee understanding of the Government of India’s ambitious programs aimed at addressing anemia and malnutrition in children, adolescents, and pregnant women.
Dr. Pankaj Jyoti Barua, a physician from Budagorhi Thana Primary Health Centre, was invited to attend the significant meeting chaired by Muslim Uddin, the headmaster of Silangni Moktab School. Dr. Sijdatur Rahman spoke out from the passage during the event and advocated for the provision of wholesome food to teenage girls and moms. Pinki Bora and headmistress Rulimani Saikia were observed mesmerizing everyone in the conference with songs about the potential for nourishing meals.
A thorough presentation on malnutrition and anaemia was given by the headmistresses of the district’s various circles, which included Barnali Bora, Loyna Majumdar, Madhan Das, Pari Gupta Bora, Gayatri Barthakur, Geeta Das, Arunamoy Das, and Poshan Chinki Barake. Concurrent with the gathering was an awareness camp about anaemia.
Senior Journalist Debajit Hazarika, Editor of Haiborgaon Press Club Mostafa Kamal and Teacher Saiful Islam were present at the Meeting.
