Jos Buttler has doubts about India's concussion substitute in 4th T20I.

India’s decision to substitute Harshit Rana for Shivam Dube in the fourth T20I against England sparked debate. England captain Jos Buttler disagreed, arguing that it was not a fair swap. Buttler emphasized that England should have won, questioning the validity of Rana’s inclusion. He suggested either Dube had improved significantly or Rana’s abilities had drastically changed. Ultimately, he believed the decision affected the outcome, feeling that England should have emerged victorious.

Television commentators Pietersen and Knight questioned the substitution of Dube during the match when he got hit on the helmet twice, and Rana came in as his replacement despite not being a direct replacement, as noted by Pietersen. Despite the initial controversy, Rana impressed on his T20I debut with three wickets, helping India win the match by 15 runs and take a 3-1 series lead. Rana learned about being the concussion substitute when Dube returned two overs into the chase.

Team India defeated England in the 4th T20I with an impressive win by scoring 181/9. Dube and Hardik Pandya both scored fifties, with Dube hitting 53 from 34 balls, including 7 fours and 2 sixes (SR: 155.88). Dube was unable to continue playing after being hit on the head in the 20th over.
