In his debut match for Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2025, left-arm seamer Khaleel Ahmed impressed by taking three early wickets against Mumbai Indians, limiting them to 155/9 in 20 overs.
Khaleel made an impact early, dismissing Rohit Sharma with a duck in his first over for the Super Kings. Ryan Rickelton counter-attacked, but Khaleel quickly struck again in the next over. His third wicket, Trent Boult, fell at the end, with 29 runs conceded in four overs.
Khaleel debuted in 2018 for Sunrisers Hyderabad before moving to Delhi Capitals in 2019. He was signed by Super Kings for ₹4.8 crore in the 2025 auction. Over seven IPL seasons, Khaleel has taken 77 wickets at an average of 24.80 in 58 matches.
As reported by Cricbuzz, Khaleel has dismissed Rohit for the third time in seven IPL innings, where Rohit has managed only 28 runs from 43 balls against Khaleel, resulting in a 64.4% dot ball rate.
