Indian man molests flight attendant mid-air by grabbing and pushing her into a toilet.

A 20-year-old Indian man is accused of molesting a female cabin crew member on a Singapore Airlines flight. The incident occurred on February 28 when the accused, known as Rajat, forced the crew member into the lavatory. Details about the flight’s origin have not been revealed.

During her routine duties, a crew member was escorting a passenger to the lavatory and noticed tissue paper on the floor. When she stooped to pick it up, Rajat allegedly grabbed her from behind, forcing her into the lavatory according to The Straits Times from Singapore.

A female passenger reacted quickly, pulling the cabin crew from the lavatory. Later, she reported the incident to her supervisor. The suspect was promptly arrested upon the plane’s arrival at Singapore Changi Airport.

The accused, Rajat, is expected to plead guilty on May 14 for a charge of criminal force intending to outrage modesty, as per The Straits Times. According to Singaporean law, he may receive up to a three-year jail term, a fine, caning, or a mix of these penalties for this offense.

The Airport Police Division Commander, Assistant Commissioner M Malathi, emphasized the serious approach towards such incidents. Cabin crew, as dedicated professionals, prioritize passenger safety and well-being. Malathi reaffirmed the police’s dedication to safeguarding airline staff and passengers from sexual harassment or assault onboard.
