In 2025 IPL, Delhi Capitals won their first Super Over against Rajasthan Royals at home with a tied score of 188. Mitchell Starc, the hero of the final over, emerged as the Player of the Day when he led Capitals to victory in the one-over eliminator against RR at the Arun Jaitley Stadium.

Starc, leading for RR as they needed 31 runs off 18 balls, showcased his experience by removing Rana at 51 off 27. His exceptional yorkers earned him the title of Player of the Day.
