Ferrari recently introduced its 2025 Formula 1 car, the SF-25, during an event at London’s O2 for F1 75 Live. Lewis Hamilton, Charles Leclerc, and Team Principal Fred Vasseur attended. This event signifies a new beginning for Hamilton post his long stint with Mercedes. Notably, the SF-25 boasts an eye-catching white livery on the engine cover, showcasing dynamism and future aspirations.
The SF-25 differs significantly from its predecessor, with Vasseur noting minimal carryover components. This change reflects Ferrari’s collaboration with HP, signaling a shift from their iconic all-red appearance. The red color base is now deeper, enhancing the integration of white elements to align with HP’s branding strategy. In anticipation of his Ferrari debut, seven-time World Champion Hamilton expressed a vibrant outlook on the upcoming season.
Ferrari’s 2025 Formula 1 car, the SF-25, uses a turbocharged 1.6-liter V6 hybrid engine with a 15,000 rpm redline, high-pressure direct fuel injection, and a fuel flow rate of 100 kg/hour above 10,500 rpm. The car features a monocoque chassis housing the powertrain and energy recovery system; pull-rod suspension; Brembo ventilated carbon disc brakes; and is Ferrari’s 71st F1 single-seater.
Ferrari aims to end its title drought with the new SF-25 after narrowly missing out on the championship to McLaren last season. The SF-25 debuts on the track at Fiorano after unveiling its livery. Pre-season testing begins in Bahrain from February 26-28, kicking off the campaign at the Australian Grand Prix on March 14-16.
