West Indies all-rounder Deandra Dottin climbed 26 spots in the ICC Women’s T20I Batting Rankings after scoring 110 runs in the recent T20I series against Bangladesh. Her stellar performance led the Caribbean side to a 3-0 victory, showing her prowess in batting and all-round skills. Dottin, aged 33, emerged as the top run-scorer of the series, now positioned at 11th place, just below Australia’s Beth Mooney, in the rankings dominated by Mooney. She returned to the sport for the 2024 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup after a two-year break.
Her exceptional performance led to her winning the Player of the Series award and achieving significant progress in the batting, all-rounders, and bowling rankings. Dottin’s teammate, Qiana Joseph, also excelled in batting, moving up 27 places to 29th overall after scoring 92 runs in two innings. Dottin rose 11 spots in the T20I All-Rounder Rankings to secure the ninth position alongside Hayley Matthews. Afy Fletcher, another West Indies player, advanced two places to 23rd in the all-rounders category.
Fletcher excelled with the ball, taking four wickets in three matches to rise to 12th in ICC Women’s T20I Bowling Rankings. Bangladesh bowlers also improved: Rabeya up to 14th, Fahima Khatun to 35th, and Sultana Khatun to 74th. Sophie Ecclestone of England maintains her top rank in T20I Bowling Rankings.
