Chennai Super Kings’ Devon Conway showed resilience during his innings against Gujarat Titans at IPL 2025. Despite a slow start, he consolidated while his teammates played aggressively. Conway surged past 50, boosting CSK’s total over 150 after skipper MS Dhoni chose to bat first at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
In the first two overs, Conway didn’t play the ball while Ayush Mhatre dominated GT bowlers, with CSK reaching 34/0. Conway later rotated strike, with Mhatre, Patel, and Dube attacking. He hit a maximum off Rashid Khan to complete his fifty in the 14th over.
Right after conceding a six, Rashid got Conway out with a quicker delivery. Conway scored 52 runs off 35 balls, hitting 6 fours and 2 sixes in his innings.
Conway achieved his second half-century of IPL 2025 in his last match of the season for CSK. Previously, he scored another fifty against Punjab Kings in Mullanpur. In his six games this season, Conway amassed 156 runs with a strike rate of 131.09. In his 29 IPL games, he has scored a total of 1,080 runs at an average of 43.20 with 11 fifties.
In Ahmedabad, Conway reached 150 T20 cricket sixes, joining the 150-six club with his first match maximum. Over 30 of his sixes were in the IPL.
