Chelsea owner Todd Boehly acquired a 49% stake in The Hundred franchise, Trent Rockets, through Cain International, a firm he co-founded with Jonathan Goldstein. The deal increased the franchise valuation to £79 million, with the transaction priced at nearly £40 million.

Nottinghamshire will keep a 51% stake in Trent Rockets while the team plays at Trent Bridge. Cain International considered investing in London Spirit, but a Silicon Valley group purchased a 49% share in Lord’s for £145 million.

The Trent Rockets deal involved selling stakes of seven Hundred teams for £500 million, with the combined value of these franchises estimated at around £820 million. Southern Brave, the eighth and final team, is set to be acquired by Delhi Capitals’s co-owners, following their purchase of Hampshire.
