The ICC increased the prize money for the 2025 Champions Trophy to $6.9 million, a 50% rise from 2017. The tournament, featuring eight teams, begins on February 19, with India’s matches in Dubai, following the ICC-approved hybrid model.

In the Champions Trophy 2025, the winner receives $2.24 million, the runners-up get $1.12 million, semi-finalists get $560,000 each, teams in fifth and sixth place earn $350,000 each, and teams in seventh and eighth place get $140,000 each.

The ICC will give teams $34,000 per group stage win. $125,000 is guaranteed for each team in the 2025 Champions Trophy. This tournament, held every four years, features the top eight ODI teams worldwide. In 2027, a Women’s T20 Champions Trophy will premiere.

The top eight teams for this year’s tournament include India, Australia, England, New Zealand, South Africa, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, and Pakistan as the hosts. The tournament has two groups: Group A consists of India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and New Zealand, while Group B has Australia, England, South Africa, and Afghanistan. The event starts on February 19, with Pakistan facing New Zealand first.
