BYD has introduced its first EVs on the new Super e-platform, featuring rapid ultra-fast charging. The Han L sedan gains 402km in just 5 minutes, while the Tang L eSUV adds 370km in the same time, starting at $30,000. CEO Wang Chuanfu aims to address charging concerns by enabling speedy refueling comparable to gasoline cars.
The Han L sedan, priced starting at 219,800 yuan ($30,000), boasts a sleek design and advanced features. It runs on an 83.2kWh BYD Blade battery, providing a range of up to 700km on one charge. The vehicle is 5,050mm long, 1,960mm wide, and 1,505mm tall, offering a modern cabin with ambient lighting, a large touchscreen, and premium upholstery.
BYD’s new electric SUV, the Tang L, is priced starting at 239,800 yuan ($32,700), slightly smaller than Tesla Model Y in China, measuring 5,040mm long, 1,996mm wide, and 1,760mm tall. It features a larger 100.5kWh battery for a range of 700km and BYD’s God’s Eye B ADAS system with DiPilot 300 computer, like the Han L model.
