Bihar deciding between 'jungle raj' and development, says Amit Shah.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah criticized Congress and RJD for hindering Bihar’s progress. Speaking in Lalu Prasad Yadav’s stronghold of Gopalganj, he asked the public to choose between jungle raj or a development-focused government led by PM Modi and CM Nitish Kumar. Shah highlighted Modi’s achievements in 10 years compared to Congress’ 65.

Shah criticized Lalu Yadav and his family, alleging their lack of contribution to Bihar’s development. He claimed the Yadav family prioritized politics over creating employment opportunities for young people. Shah specifically mentioned Lalu’s focus on grooming his sons for the Chief Minister position, neglecting the welfare of Bihar’s youth. He also accused them of failing to address Bihar’s issues during what he referred to as a “jungle raj.”

Shah listed Modi government’s achievements, including Ram Temple in Ayodhya and Mata Janki’s temple in Bihar. He discussed budget allocations for Bihar’s development, with ₹9 lakh crore allocated by the Centre. The plan includes building seven bridges costing ₹8,000 crore. State assembly elections are scheduled for later this year.

RJD’s Shakti Yadav rebutted Shah’s claims, criticizing the NDA for its 20-year rule with limited progress in Bihar. He noted the BJP’s lack of substantial development work in the state, citing issues like poor education, low income levels, and increased labor migration under the NDA regime.
