Bentley now offers Continental GT and Flying Spur in V8 versions.

Bentley’s added a plug-in hybrid V8 for the Continental GT and Flying Spur, named the “High Performance Hybrid,” providing 671hp and 930Nm torque. While it’s less potent than the 771hp Ultra Performance variant, it still delivers performance akin to some top-tier sports cars available today.

Bentley’s new hybrid powertrain outperforms the previous W12 models. The Continental GT coupe dashes 0-100km/h in 3.5 seconds, while the Flying Spur hits it in 3.9. These impressive speeds are notable given the cars’ weight of 2,500kg to 3,000kg. The powertrain combines a 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 with an electric motor and battery for 80km of electric-only range.

The new powertrain is available in both cars with the Core and Azure trims, while the High Performance Hybrid setup is exclusive to Speed and Mulliner variants. The Azure has returned following the launch of the new-generation Conti and Spur last year, featuring distinct styling elements such as a black grille with chrome surround, unique 22-inch wheels, black front splitter, and Azure branding.

The Azure coupe has a panoramic sunroof, while the convertible offers a neck-warmer for cozy open-top driving in chilly weather. The UK price for the Continental GT has been reduced to £202,400 (approx. ₹2.2 crore). Bentley has not yet disclosed the prices for the new Flying Spur models.
