Guwahati: Assam celebrated a phenomenal campaign at the Nationals with two standout GOLD medal victories by women athletes — a historic achievement for the state.
25 member team from Assam took part in The Pickleball Nationals which took place in Bengaluru from 13th to 16th of November. The tournament was hosted by Karnataka Pickleball Association under the Aegis of Indian Pickleball Association, recognised by Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports & Sports Authority of India. A total of 1100 athletes from all over the country fought for the National Crown across categories from U-12 to 70+ categories in the Team events and Individual Open events.
Winners List:
🥇 GOLD – 30+ WOMEN’S SINGLES (Individual Event)
ANANGSHA ALOMYAN – NATIONAL CHAMPION!
Anangsha delivered a dominant run, highlighted by a major semifinal upset, defeating top seed Priyanka Mehta (Maharashtra) 11–7. She carried that winning momentum into the finals to secure the 30+ Women’s Singles National Title for Assam.
🥇 GOLD – U16 GIRLS DOUBLES (Individual Event)
NAYEEM HUSSAIN & PRAPTI BARUAH – NATIONAL CHAMPIONS!
The young duo displayed exceptional coordination and confidence, clinching the U16 Girls Doubles Gold with an emphatic 11–3 win over Aanshi Sanmanvi & Ashriyaa Singh (Madhya Pradesh).
🥈 TEAM EVENT – U16 Girls Win Silver
The Assam U16 girls — Prapti Baruah, Nayeem Hussain & Utpalakshee Saikia — dominated the group stage with victories over Madhya Pradesh (2–0) and Tamil Nadu (2–1). They fought hard in the finals but went down to Maharashtra 0–2, earning a proud Silver Medal.
🥉TEAM EVENT – 30+ Women’s Bronze with a Big Upset
The Assam 30+ Women’s Team — Anangsha Alomyan, Manaswinee Hazarika & Upasana Nath — shocked the tournament by defeating top seed Gujarat 2–0 in the quarterfinals. They later went down to Maharashtra in the semis but claimed a well-deserved Bronze Medal.

🥉 50+ Women’s Singles — Nazneen Rahman — Upset last year’s National Champion Kavita Khanna 11–7 in the quarterfinals.
