Former Pakistani fast bowler Wasim Akram is willing to assist the national cricket team without a full-time commitment due to family obligations. This decision was influenced by criticism from Yograj Singh towards ex-Pakistani cricketers for not sufficiently supporting the struggling team. Akram emphasized his readiness to contribute for free in response to Singh’s remarks during an interview with Ten Sports.
In an interview with Ten Sports, Akram addressed Singh’s criticism and offered his services for free. He stated, “I am always available to help, without any charge.” However, due to his age and family obligations, he cannot commit full-time. Akram, at 58 years old, emphasized that he has a family to care for, including a 10-year-old daughter and two sons.
Akram voiced his discontent with the criticism and trolling faced by ex-players in powerful roles, such as Waqar Younis. He highlighted his frustration by addressing disrespect towards figures like Waqar, emphasizing the mistreatment faced by coaches of Pakistan.
