Abhimanyu Singh, Zepto’s electronics category business head, aims to make premium technology more accessible. Their strategy transforms how people shop for costly gadgets. Zepto noticed a 35% monthly surge in searches for Apple products, demonstrating high demand for top-tier electronics.
In the past month, over one million users searched for Apple products on Zepto, like the iPhone 16E, AirPods 4, and iPads. Singh mentioned that their sellers are developing the product range with Apple and enhancing the shopping experience for electronics to be faster, simpler, and smoother.
Just two weeks ago, Blinkit, a Zomato-owned service, started delivering Apple products like iPads, AirPods, MacBook Air, and Apple Watch in major Indian cities. This has intensified competition among quick commerce players aiming to provide high-tech products swiftly.
The Indian quick commerce industry is expanding into diverse categories like beauty, electronics, toys, kitchen essentials, and fashion, beyond just groceries. Companies like Zepto, Blinkit, and Swiggy Instamart now deliver a wide range of products, including quick food deliveries in just 10 minutes due to robust supply chains.
India’s quick commerce industry, as per reports, is set for huge growth, with projections showing it will contribute over 10% of India’s e-commerce market by FY25. A TeamLease report foresees a 40% rise in monthly shoppers, increasing average orders per customer to six by 2024 from 4.4 in 2021.
