Actor-politician G Krishnakumar and family are entangled in legal issues amid accusations of kidnapping and extortion by a staff member of Diya’s company. A counter embezzlement case has been filed against the employee, alleging financial misconduct. Both cases are under investigation at the Museum Police station in Thiruvananthapuram.
Krishnakumar accused three female employees of embezzling ₹69 lakh from Diya’s firm when she couldn’t oversee operations due to pregnancy. They paid ₹8 lakh initially, promising to return the rest and avoid a complaint, but one threatened his daughter by phone. As a result, they filed a police report around May 30 or 31.
The actor-politician mentioned that a counter-complaint was filed by an employee against his family after they lodged their complaint. A case under non-bailable provisions has been registered against all six family members, including his son-in-law. Krishnakumar contacted the Chief Minister’s Office via email on this matter and got a response.
Krishnakumar asserts he has electronic evidence, such as video footage, of employees committing embezzlement and confessing. He handed it all to the police. An officer at the Museum Police station stated that they are reviewing the evidence submitted with the complaints before taking further action.
