The Northeast has long been celebrated for its rich cultural diversity, artistic traditions and remarkable talent. Now, a new generation of digital storytellers is adding another dimension to that identity. The inaugural North East Creator Circuit, held at MAYFAIR Guwahati on 14 September 2026, marked a significant milestone in the region’s rapidly emerging creator economy, bringing together more than 125 creators from all seven Northeastern states.
With over 300 registrations, the overwhelming response demonstrated the growing influence of creators across Assam, Meghalaya, Tripura, Mizoram, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh and Manipur. Initiated by Netive in association with Trident Brandcom, the platform sought to bridge the gap between regional creators, brands and the wider commercial ecosystem.
The event opened with a keynote and welcome address by Rudrajeet Kumar Laskar, Executive Editor of Netive and Event Director, who emphasised the need for greater recognition, visibility and meaningful opportunities for creators from the Northeast. A stimulating discussion on “Creator Economy 2.0—Northeast”, along with fashion showcases and interactive content-creation zones, added energy and substance to the gathering.
A major highlight was the Creator Icons Awards—The Northeast Edition, where 32 creators and personalities were honoured. Among the notable awardees were Hima Das, who received the Pride of the Northeast Award, Amrita Gogoi, Maxina Paonam and Preety Kongana.
The North East Brand Awards further celebrated innovative creator-led brand communication.
More than an event, the Creator Circuit signals the emergence of a connected regional digital ecosystem—one where talent, culture, creativity and commerce can converge to place Northeast India firmly on the national creator map.
