Yamaha introduced India’s first 150cc hybrid bike, the 2025 FZ-S Fi Hybrid, priced at ₹1.45 lakh. The model includes new features and an updated engine. Expected to surpass 50km/l fuel efficiency, an enhancement from the non-hybrid version at almost 45km/l, specific figures are still pending.
The 2025 Yamaha FZ-S Fi Hybrid has a 149cc ‘Blue Core’ engine that meets OBD2 standards. It includes Yamaha’s Smart Motor Generator (SMG) and Stop & Start System (SSS) for quieter starts, enhanced acceleration with battery assistance, and better fuel efficiency. The SSS stops the engine during idle and restarts it swiftly when the clutch is engaged.
The 2025 FZ-S Fi Hybrid boasts a 4.2-inch full-colour TFT instrument cluster that links to smartphones via the Y-Connect app, providing Turn-by-Turn (TBT) navigation through Google Maps for real-time directions and detailed road information. Yamaha has enhanced rider comfort by adjusting the handlebar position and improving switchgear accessibility. The model offers two color choices: Racing Blue and Cyan Metallic Grey.
