Setting tech boundaries for kids is crucial in the digital age. Facebook Messenger Kids’ Sleep Mode feature allows parents to schedule app downtime, encouraging kids to disconnect and engage in other activities. This guide shows Android users how to utilize this helpful tool effectively.
Before adjusting Sleep Mode, ensure the Messenger Kids app is on your kid’s Android. Get it from Google Play, sign in with Facebook details, and set up your child’s account by entering their name and necessary information.
To manage Sleep Mode, go to Parent Controls through your Facebook account. Log into Facebook on your device and tap the menu icon. If you can’t see Messenger Kids, click on “See More…” and scroll down. Tap Messenger Kids to proceed.
To set limits, access Parent Controls, select your child’s profile, set “Sleep Mode” times for weekdays and weekends, and save. Messaging, calls, and notifications are restricted during these times with a warning message. Adjust settings easily and discuss with your child to promote responsible technology use.
