Mann dismisses rumors of Kejriwal replacing him; Urges others to ignore the gossip

Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann denied rumors of his replacement after AAP lost in the Delhi polls. Speculation arose post a meeting in Delhi with Arvind Kejriwal, Manish Sisodia, and Punjab MLAs. When asked about the rumors, Mann simply replied, “Let them say.”

Bharatiya Janata Party MLA Manjinder Singh Sirsa fueled rumors by alleging that Arvind Kejriwal aims to replace Bhagwant Mann by labeling him “incompetent.” Sirsa claimed Kejriwal failed on promises like giving ₹1,000 to women, tackling drug abuse, and worsening Punjab’s situation, shifting blame to Mann. AAP Punjab MLAs are being pressured to praise Kejriwal as a ‘good man’ and support his candidacy as CM.

Mann dismissed quitting rumors, highlighting AAP’s hard work foundation. “We’ve built this party with our sweat and blood,” he declared. AAP MP Kang labeled the Delhi meeting a routine strategy session, refuting dissent claims as “baseless” opposition rumors.

Opposition parties are criticizing AAP’s governance in Punjab, with BJP and Congress leaders predicting voter rejection of AAP. Congress’s Bajwa stated that over 20 AAP MLAs contacted him while Randhawa projected mid-term elections, claiming at least 35 AAP MLAs ready to defect, amid anticipation of a power shift after Kejriwal’s loss.
