Rahul Gandhi faces FIR in Odisha for 'anti-national' remark.

An FIR was filed against Congress MP Rahul Gandhi in Jharsuguda, Odisha for allegedly making anti-national statements. The complaint claims these statements damaged India’s sovereignty. The FIR was filed at Jharsuguda Town police station under specific sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.

An FIR was lodged by members of the BJP, BJP Yuva Morcha, RSS, Bajrang Dal, and BJP Legal Cell in Jharsuguda district, alleging that Gandhi’s comments, made on January 15, 2025, during the inauguration of the Congress Party’s Delhi headquarters, went beyond free speech, aiming to provoke seditious acts and defiance.

Gandhi stated that both our ideology and the RSS ideology are ancient and have long been at odds. He noted how the BJP and RSS have taken control of all institutions. In response to the complaint, the local police have initiated an investigation.
