December 1, 2024, Kohima: The much-anticipated 7-day Gandhi Shilp Bazar was inaugurated today at Dimori Cove Resort, Kipfuzha, Kigwema, Kohima, Nagaland. Organized to celebrate and support the region’s rich handicraft traditions, the event provides a significant platform for local artisans to showcase and sell their creations.
The inauguration ceremony was graced by Special Guest K. Libanthung Lotha (IAS), Commissioner & Secretary, Sericulture, and Team Leader, NEPED, Government of Nagaland. Esteemed guests, including Neihunuo Sorhie, Padmashri Awardee; Y. Lipongse Thongstar, Additional Director, DICC, Nagaland; Dr. Mayonmi Shimray, Director in Charge, IGNOU, Kohima; Rima Sonar, Assistant Director (Handicraft), Handicrafts Service Centre (HSC), Kohima; and Rajib Chandra Roy, HPO, Office of the Development Commissioner (Handicrafts), Kohima, also attended the event.
